The Dream Garden is a mosaic designed by Maxfield
Parrish in collaboration with Louis Comfort Tiffany. The piece, which
is fifteen feet high by fifty feet long, is installed in the lobby of the former
home of the Saturday Evening Post. Although the building was sold by Mr.
Merriam, the
original owner, the mosaic remained in the estate. The
current majority interest proposes to sell the mosaic and to remove it from the
property. The City of Philadelphia has moved to block the demolition, and
Mr. Harris is the engineering and technical expert for the City in the ongoing
litigation and administrative appeals.
