S. Harris & Co. provided Historic Preservation services to Matrix Development Group for the mixed-use redevelopment of the National Products site east of 2nd Street.  The National Products Building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as part of the Old City Historic District and is individually designated on the Philadelphia Register of Historic Places.  As part of the approved design concept, the historic 1950s terra cotta facade will be maintained and incorporated into new construction.

S. Harris & Co. inspected, assessed, and provided recommendations for treatment of the glazed block and mosaic tile portions of the facade.  The firm also served as a liaison between the design group, the developer, and the Philadelphia Historical Commission regarding the specific design options for the project.
